My experience has led me to place a great deal of value in getting to know the whole person and their life story, rather than focusing solely on symptoms or medications. In addition to psychopharmacology, I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and transference focused psychotherapy (TFP). I have training in consultation-liaison psychiatry, which focuses on the mental health care of those with medical illness, and I co-authored a book titled Conquering Lyme Disease: Science Bridge the Great Divide.
